ABOUT THE PREDIABETES DIETITIAN
Vanessa Infante
PHD, RDN, CDCES
Improving your health doesn’t have to involve making huge sacrifices and being miserable. That simply is not sustainable! My goal is to share practical advice that is based on science and that fits your life, long-term. You will not see me promoting fad diets, detox juices, or miracle pills.
I’ve been there. I have a history of gestational diabetes, and several family members with type 2 diabetes. In 2021, I was given a prediabetes diagnosis. It was hard to hear, but also a huge wake up call.
This is when I realized that social media and Google were filled with flashy posts with all kinds of terrible advice about managing blood sugar. The Prediabetes Dietitian is for those of you who want science-backed, non-restrictive tips for prediabetes and type 2 diabetes.
Why trust me?
In addition to being Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) with a PhD in Nutrition, I bring over a decade of experience in academia to help guide your journey to better blood sugar. My credibility is reinforced by numerous peer-reviewed articles authored and co-authored, as well as book chapters and educational material for community nutrition programs.
For the past several years, I have served as the Director of a highly successful CDC Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP), as well as a DPP lifestyle coach and a DPP Master Trainer. This hands-on experience has equipped me with a deep understanding of effective strategies for preventing and managing diabetes through lifestyle interventions.
I am committed to empowering individuals to achieve sustainable health and wellness. With specialized training in motivational interviewing and intuitive eating, I prioritize a personalized and compassionate approach to nutrition counseling. My goal is to provide you with evidence-based guidance and support that you can trust, helping you navigate your health journey with confidence and success.
